We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 AM for an excursion to the charming city of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most enchanting places in the country.
The city, port, and fortifications were designed and built following the pattern of the European fortresses by the prestigious French architect Theodore Cornut, who worked with Louis XV. .
Essaouira is fortified with two sqalas (bastions): Sqala du Port in the south and Sqala de la Ville in the northwest. Its esplanade, where Orson Welles filmed scenes of Othello in 1949, offers views of the sea and the îles Purpuraires, located across the bay.
A passage connects the bastion with the old arsenal, which now houses marquetry workshops.
At 6:00 PM, we will take you back to your hotel.
